Thu Cuc Hospital organized candle-lighting ceremony on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs Day – July 27, 2020

To commemorate the merits of war heroes and martyrs who have sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, Thu Cuc Hospital organized the activity “Light a Gratitude Candle” and offered gifts to families under preferential treatment policy on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the Vietnam’s War Invalids and Martyrs Day – July 27, 2020.

 

The ” Light a Gratitude Candle ” ceremony took place in the evening of July 24, 2020 at the martyrs’ memorial of Quang An ward.

“Light a Gratitude Candle” is one of the annual activities organized by Thu Cuc Hospital to commemorate the merits of war heroes and martyrs, promoting our noble tradition of ” when drinking water, remember its source”. As usual, this year the “Light a Gratitude Candle” ceremony was held by Thu Cuc Hospital Trade Union in the evening of July 24, 2018 at the Martyrs’ Memorial of Quang An Ward, Tay Ho, Hanoi.


The ceremony was attended by some leaders of Tay Ho District, Quang An Ward, and representatives of Hospital’s Executive Board and Thu Cuc Hospital’s union members. During the ceremony, in addition to incense-offering ceremony, lighting a gratitude candle, Thu Cuc Hospital also offered gifts to families under preferential treatment policy and Vietnamese heroic mothers.

This meaningful activity was carried out by Thu Cuc Hospital with the desire to honor the tradition of “when drinking water, remember its source” of the young people for those who sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, construction and protection. At the same time, the spirit of the ceremony will also help arouse and consolidate the revolutionary tradition, patriotism, national pride, and responsibility of the young generation in the cause of national construction and defense.

Not only expressing gratitude to the older generation through the activity “Light a gratitude candle”, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Thu Cuc International Hospital in particular and all staff, doctors and medical staff of the hospital in general are always aware of its own responsibility to the entire community and society. Striving to improve themselves, trying their best in the cause of people’s health care and raising the spirit of gratitude to individuals and families under preferential treatment policy are what have been promoted and implemented by all staff of Thu Cuc Hospital.
