2. Personal profile
Dr. Lim Hong Liang served as the head of the Chest Cancer Services, Head and Neck Disease Services and Bone marrow Transplant Program at National University Hospital. From 2000 to 2005, he served as Head of the Department of Oncology and Hematology here. He also held the position of Vice President of the Medical Board of University General Hospital (NUH) when he joined Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
Dr. Lim graduated from the National University of Singapore (MBBS) in 1986. He participated in internships in Internal Medicine and Internal Oncology at NUH. In 1992, he received a Japan JICA scholarship for further training in the Department of Thoracic Oncology at the Tokyo National Cancer Centre Japan. Dr. Lim was also trained in bone marrow transplantation and high-dose chemotherapy at Sydney’s St Vincent’s Hospital under the Health Department’s scholarship program.
Currently, Dr. Lim Hong Liang is cooperating with Thu Cuc International General Hospital to treat cancer patients in Vietnam. Accordingly, the treatment is carried out right at Thu Cuc International General Hospital.
