Being considered as the critical and most advanced equipment in Vietnam presently, the medical equipment in Surgery Department plays a major role in making surgical procedures safe, quick and convenient. During surgery on some dangerous diseases, patients are easily susceptible to air pollution; thus, the operating room environment must be sterile space. Therefore, the entire operating rooms are designed in hygienic one-way, which means that there are two separate paths to get in and out of the chamber. Besides, the two systems of oxygen stripping and downstairs also ensure fresh oxygen (pure air) and bacteria cleanliness in the operating room. At present, in Vietnam, there are only about 7 to 8 operating rooms which satisfy the hygienic one-way regulation.

Surgery Department in Thu Cuc Hospital is led by Doctor of Excellence, Dr. Nguyen Van Tin along with a team of surgeons, anesthesia doctors, technicians, nurses who are rich of expericence and professional commitment.
Doctor of Excellence, Dr. Nguyen Van Tin has more than 38 years of experience in orthopaedics. Dr. Tin is former Vice Director of the Institute for Orthopaedic Trauma, 108 Army Hospital cum Chairman of General Orthoaedics Department, the Orthopaedics Department, Institute for Orthopaedic Trauma, 108 Army Hospital. Currently, he holds the position of Dean of the Surgery Department, Thu Cuc International General Hospital.
